I have been photographing Yvonne's family for YEARS. The first Session we ever shot together was published by none other than TheBump, so it's been such an honor to have them continue to support us and ultimately photograph their big day.
Okay, first of all--I am a planner (insert hysterical laughter here). We hammered out all the details together, and on the day of, I leapt out of a moving car in the middle of Vegas traffic to meet these guys. We walked from the Bellagio to Ceasar's Palace, where we hopped back into our cars to continue our Session at a local-ish park.
Check out our adventure:
Guys--it was so freakin' windy! On top of that, we had a million people stop and take photos/videos of them. While I thought that was odd, they were so gracious about it.
Huge shoutout to everyone who noticed that we were taking romantics and went out of their way to stay out of the photos. I can't tell you how much this means to all of us--thank you!
While planning her wedding, Yvonne knew she wanted to take family portraits at this park. It was a half hour drive from the strip, but so worth it as it gave us a really nice change in scenery.
Yvonne + Omar share three children together, and it was so beautiful to capture them on their special day.
We sent the kids off with the grandparents to give them a moment alone.
I mean...just look at how much he loves his bride--how could you not love this?
It was seriously the most perfect day.
After Yvonne's Session, we drove back home in our ultra-comfy ride. Thanks, Ram--you're a way smoother drive than my Jeep (insert tears).
xo,
Lana
PS--Moe and I also shot another wedding while we were here, check it out here: Christine + Ben, Vow Renewal at the Neon Museum, Las Vegas, Nevada--by Lana Tavares, 222 Photography (twotwentytwollc.com)
